Tournaments can now be played as Swiss rounds: everyone plays every round against a player with the same number of wins. The tournament page shows the standings, and the host can add a playoff for the top players.
New
Hosts can now run a tournament from its page: close registration, place players in the first round, start it, call matches, and rule on results. A tournament is still created on Discord.
New
The draw is now shown on the tournament page before the first matches are called: a short countdown, then each first-round pairing. You can replay it afterwards.
New
A host can limit how many matches are played at the same time, for example one at a time for a cast. A match that waits for a table says so, and you are called when a table is free.
New
A host can set one deck for the whole tournament. Your first game locks your deck, and the lobby tells you which one it is.
Tournaments
New
Tournaments are here. A host starts a single elimination bracket from Discord, and players join on the new Tournaments page with an invite link, a code, or a password.
New
Each tournament has a live bracket page that shows every round, the matches being played, and who advances. It works on phones and tablets.
New
Tournament matches are best of 1 or best of 3. In a best of 3 you keep the same deck, and the loser of a game chooses who goes first in the next one.
New
When your tournament match is called, the site tells you on any page and takes you to your table. Others can watch from the bracket when the host allows spectators.
New
On Discord, each tournament gets its own role and channels, with a bracket picture that updates after every game.
Trash filter and steadier connections
New
Pile viewers such as the trash now have card type filters. Pick All, Cookie, FLIP, Item, Trap, or Stage to show only those cards, with a count on each.
Extra deck checklist and ranked intro
New
Extra deck cards now show a checklist of their play conditions, so you can see which are met and which are not.
New
Ranked matches now open with a ranked intro that shows both players' Elo.
New animations and sounds
New
The table has new animations for card plays, attacks, blocks, damage, healing, and faints, plus floating damage numbers and new Victory and Defeat screens.
New
Animations can be set to Normal, Fast, or Off, and you can tap or press Enter to skip them.
New
Gameplay sounds are all new, and each card color has its own tone.
Undo in online matches
New
Quick matches and ranked matches now let you undo your last safe action before anyone else acts. Undoing never adds decision time.
New
Saved decks and guest decks now have a View deck button that shows every card as an image, and the deck builder adds Preview deck.
Privacy controls and update notices
New
Your profile has a new Privacy card with switches to hide your saved decks, match history, and stats, or to block spectators.
New
The Play menu shows how many players are online, and casual and ranked searches show how long you have been in the queue.
New
Scheduled server updates now show a countdown notice. Online matches pause briefly and resume after the restart, and Practice vs bot keeps working throughout.
Private lobby settings
New
Hosts of private 1v1 and 2v2 lobbies can now choose whether to allow undo, use a 45-second move timer, and show deck previews. Everyone at the table can see the settings.
New
Effect and FLIP choices now have a View board button, so you can check the table and return to your choice without losing your selections.
Meta Lab deck import
New
You can now import a deck from a public Meta Lab link, both from your deck list and inside the deck builder.
Discord login, guest play, and ranked on the web
New
Sign up and log in with Continue with Discord, no password needed. Existing players can link Discord from their profile.
New
Play as guest to practice, play casual and private matches, and spectate without an account. Guest decks are saved in your browser and can be imported into a verified account later.
New
You can now search for a ranked match right on the website. Website and Discord searches share one queue.
Elo matchmaking and attack arrows
New
Declaring an attack now draws an arrow from the attacker to its target, and the arrow follows the attack if a Blocker steps in.
New
When a damage limit and a damage reduction both apply to a Cookie, its controller now chooses how the damage resolves.
2v2 team battles
New
2v2 team battles are here. Four players form two teams in a private lobby, each with their own deck, and teammates share their hands and a private team chat.
New
Choose a System, Light, or Dark theme from the new Appearance menu.
New
Drag a card from your hand onto a highlighted area of the board to play it.
Vietnamese and country flags
New
Vietnamese is now available as a site language, covering the site, the game, and card rule text.
New
If you have not picked a language, the site now chooses one based on your region until you pick your own.
New
Leaderboard rows, player profiles, and the match intro now show each player's country flag.
