Tournaments can now be played as Swiss rounds: everyone plays every round against a player with the same number of wins. The tournament page shows the standings, and the host can add a playoff for the top players.
New
Hosts can now run a tournament from its page: close registration, place players in the first round, start it, call matches, and rule on results. A tournament is still created on Discord.
New
The draw is now shown on the tournament page before the first matches are called: a short countdown, then each first-round pairing. You can replay it afterwards.
New
A host can limit how many matches are played at the same time, for example one at a time for a cast. A match that waits for a table says so, and you are called when a table is free.
New
A host can set one deck for the whole tournament. Your first game locks your deck, and the lobby tells you which one it is.
Improved
The player limit, the format, and the other settings of a tournament can now be changed after it is created, until it starts.
Improved
On Discord, a tournament match is now called when its table is open, so the call always comes with a Join button.
Improved
The game log now names the cards returned from the trash to a deck, for example with Yew Village Scroll, and Cookies returned to hand from the break area or the battle area.
Improved
The Refresh prompt now says when a Nosy Wizard that is still receiving its HP does not cover that Refresh.
Fixed
Werewolf Cookie no longer stops a LV.3 Cookie's attack effect when a Blocker or Broken Signpost moves the attack to another Cookie.
Tournaments
New
Tournaments are here. A host starts a single elimination bracket from Discord, and players join on the new Tournaments page with an invite link, a code, or a password.
New
Each tournament has a live bracket page that shows every round, the matches being played, and who advances. It works on phones and tablets.
New
Tournament matches are best of 1 or best of 3. In a best of 3 you keep the same deck, and the loser of a game chooses who goes first in the next one.
New
When your tournament match is called, the site tells you on any page and takes you to your table. Others can watch from the bracket when the host allows spectators.
New
On Discord, each tournament gets its own role and channels, with a bracket picture that updates after every game.
Improved
At a tournament table your opponent no longer sees the name of your deck, only that you have chosen one.
Fixed
The final standings and the players list on tournament pages are tidier, with each flag beside its name.
Trash filter and steadier connections
New
Pile viewers such as the trash now have card type filters. Pick All, Cookie, FLIP, Item, Trap, or Stage to show only those cards, with a count on each.
Fixed
If the game server does not answer a move within 6 seconds, the table now tells you and reconnects right away. Before, later moves such as placing a support card could be dropped without a message.
Fixed
On phones, the effect marker left by cards such as Icicle Yeti Cookie no longer covers your Extra deck pile. It now sits on the Cookie's HP counter.
Improved
More Cookie names are now translated in Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
Extra deck checklist and ranked intro
New
Extra deck cards now show a checklist of their play conditions, so you can see which are met and which are not.
New
Ranked matches now open with a ranked intro that shows both players' Elo.
Improved
Deck lists now export with Main Deck and Extra Deck headings, the format Meta Lab and Topdeck use. Older lists still import.
Fixed
You can now click or tap your opponent's Endless Game of Chess to use it.
Improved
When a FLIP is activated from a card that is not attached to a Cookie as HP, the log now says that no Cookie was affected.
New animations and sounds
New
The table has new animations for card plays, attacks, blocks, damage, healing, and faints, plus floating damage numbers and new Victory and Defeat screens.
New
Animations can be set to Normal, Fast, or Off, and you can tap or press Enter to skip them.
New
Gameplay sounds are all new, and each card color has its own tone.
Fixed
White Pearl Cookie's attack effect now costs only the extra Blue rest. It no longer also makes you discard a card, and it is offered even with no Blue card in hand.
Fixed
Sorbet Shark Cookie (BS5-074) no longer offers a FLIP draw when it is flipped from HP. It is not a FLIP card.
Improved
FLIP prompts that depend on your break area level, such as Earl Grey Cookie's, now show a note with your current level and the level required when the condition is not met.
New home page and quicker ranked matches
Improved
The home page has a new design that shows the game modes and the top players.
Improved
Ranked matchmaking can now pair you with anyone whose longer search already covers your Elo, so long waits end sooner.
Smarter practice bot
Improved
The practice bot now handles custom decks much better. It checks card conditions the way the rules do, stops milling itself into a Refresh, and weighs the Cookies a Special Play sacrifices.
Improved
The bot now plays its stages, items, and traps instead of placing them in the support area, and it rarely passes up a winning attack or leaves a battle slot empty.
Improved
The bot takes less time on moves when the best play is clear.
Improved
Choosing one of your own decks for the bot now starts the game right away, without a warning.
Sturdier 3D table
Fixed
If your device's graphics reset during a match, the 3D table now redraws card faces, sleeves, and the play mat instead of leaving them blank.
Improved
When you pick cards from your hand, such as the discard cost of Bubble Wave Shell, a tray now shows the card you are playing and each card you have picked. Picked cards get a check mark in your hand, and tapping one in the tray removes it.
Fire Spirit Cookie and ranked results
Fixed
Fire Spirit Cookie can now pay both HP costs of its Skill by itself when it is your only Red Cookie. If paying makes it faint, its damage to every opposing Cookie still resolves.
Improved
When a ranked game ends, the board shows Game over while your Elo change is saved, then opens the results.
Improved
The Play menu now shows when it is connecting to the game server, and lobbies keep your seat while you reconnect.
Undo in online matches
New
Quick matches and ranked matches now let you undo your last safe action before anyone else acts. Undoing never adds decision time.
Improved
When undo is unavailable, the Undo button now tells you why. Draws, hidden reveals, random results, and turn changes cannot be undone.
New
Saved decks and guest decks now have a View deck button that shows every card as an image, and the deck builder adds Preview deck.
Improved
Match chat now stays open on the results screen and keeps your unsent message.
Fixed
Olive Cookie now draws only if another Yellow Cookie actually moved to your break area. Six more cards with a similar Then effect follow the same rule.
Fixed
In 2v2, Broken Signpost is now offered only to the player whose own Cookie is attacked, so a teammate can no longer spend it for nothing.
Privacy controls and update notices
New
Your profile has a new Privacy card with switches to hide your saved decks, match history, and stats, or to block spectators.
New
The Play menu shows how many players are online, and casual and ranked searches show how long you have been in the queue.
New
Scheduled server updates now show a countdown notice. Online matches pause briefly and resume after the restart, and Practice vs bot keeps working throughout.
Fixed
An opening hand with no Cookie that can start now requires a redraw. Special Play Cookies no longer count as starting Cookies, and decks need at least one Cookie that can start.
Private lobby settings
New
Hosts of private 1v1 and 2v2 lobbies can now choose whether to allow undo, use a 45-second move timer, and show deck previews. Everyone at the table can see the settings.
New
Effect and FLIP choices now have a View board button, so you can check the table and return to your choice without losing your selections.
Meta Lab deck import
New
You can now import a deck from a public Meta Lab link, both from your deck list and inside the deck builder.
Improved
When you refresh, choosing a Cookie above LV.1 for your break area now asks you to confirm first.
Match found sound
Improved
Finding a match now plays a new sound that finishes before it repeats, instead of pinging every two seconds.
Discord login, guest play, and ranked on the web
New
Sign up and log in with Continue with Discord, no password needed. Existing players can link Discord from their profile.
New
Play as guest to practice, play casual and private matches, and spectate without an account. Guest decks are saved in your browser and can be imported into a verified account later.
New
You can now search for a ranked match right on the website. Website and Discord searches share one queue.
Fixed
Frost Queen Cookie's and Adventurer Cookie's freeze now keeps the target rested through its controller's next Active Phase, even when applied during that player's own turn.
Elo matchmaking and attack arrows
Improved
Ranked matchmaking now pairs players by Elo. Searches start at ±100 and widen by 100 every two minutes, up to ±600.
New
Declaring an attack now draws an arrow from the attacker to its target, and the arrow follows the attack if a Blocker steps in.
New
When a damage limit and a damage reduction both apply to a Cookie, its controller now chooses how the damage resolves.
Fixed
Effects that look for Cookies without a Skill, such as Milk Cookie's, now treat FLIP-only Cookies as having no Skill and Blocker-only Cookies as having one.
2v2 team battles
New
2v2 team battles are here. Four players form two teams in a private lobby, each with their own deck, and teammates share their hands and a private team chat.
New
Choose a System, Light, or Dark theme from the new Appearance menu.
New
Drag a card from your hand onto a highlighted area of the board to play it.
Improved
The Play menu is now split into two sections: one for choosing a deck and playing online, and Training grounds for bot practice and the solo sandbox.
Fixed
When a FLIP revealed during an attack removes a Cookie, that Cookie's own effects now wait until the attack has finished resolving.
Smoother matches and clearer verification
Improved
Email verification now walks you through each step, with options to resend the email or use a different address.
Improved
Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese text now uses fonts made for each language, and many Chinese card names were corrected.
Fixed
Online matches no longer skip damage, HP reveal, and FLIP animations when several updates arrive at once, including the final knockout.
Vietnamese and country flags
New
Vietnamese is now available as a site language, covering the site, the game, and card rule text.
New
If you have not picked a language, the site now chooses one based on your region until you pick your own.
New
Leaderboard rows, player profiles, and the match intro now show each player's country flag.
Improved
Ranked lobbies now hide your opponent's name and deck until the match starts.
Improved
If both players disconnect, the match now ends right away as No contest, and ranked Elo does not change.
Loading feedback
Improved
Page links, logging out, deck searches, and creating a deck now show loading feedback, and buttons cannot be pressed twice while you wait.
Fixed
Nosy Wizard's refresh exemption now starts only after all of its starting HP has been placed.
